Desert Heart

The vineyards are managed by Denny, who gained her diploma in viticulture  & winemaking at EIT,  and a small very dedicated, enthusiastic team who have begun the journey of embracing the philosophies of organics and biodynamics. A diversity of clones and an emphasis on balance in the vineyards all contribute to the complexity and structure of Desert Heart Wines.  We have an intimate association with our soil and vines, and are working to improve soil health and bringing balance to our vines and to our wines, a taste of 'our terroir'. The pruning, shoot positioning, leaf plucking, bunch thinning and harvesting are all carried out by hand to ensure optimum quality grapes. The carefully hand picked grapes are harvested by clone and kept separate to manage any quality differences. Our hands on approach, we find deeply satisfying in helping us to know all aspects of our vineyard. DESERT HEART WINES
