Particularly good intensity to be found in the 2022 Clare Valley Rieslings.

Lime, pink grapefruit, bath salts, a little spice, thyme and generally good waft of perfume. It’s intense, with a grapefruit pith and gin and tonic flavour, lime/lemon sorbet, a stony chalky feel, clean acidity, excellent length, with a pleasing quinine and lime zest tang to close. Classic Watervale. A terrific vintage for this wine. GARY WALSH, The Wine Front

Intensity and concentration seem to be the calling cards of 2022 Clare Valley riesling, and here's a case in point. Huge energy and velocity, this is tightly wound and racy with a filigree of lime, green apple, grapefruit, ginger, talc and green herbs oscillating between the bouquet and palate. Texture is gently chalky and mouth-watering, extending exceptionally long while keeping all that structure and architecture of fruit, herbal detail and minerality in a very compact frame. Above all, it's an incredibly refreshing and lively thing to drink. Yes, thanks. MIKE BENNIE, Halliday Wine Companion
