Chimay

Chimay Brewery, founded in 1862 in the Trappist abbey of Scourmount in southern Belgium, is the largest of the 11 officially recognised Trappist breweries worldwide. Profits from the sale of these traditional Belgian Style ales go into the upkeep and support of the monastery and surrounding community, with additional revenue donated to charitable causes.

With water drawn from a well within the abbey, spent grain recycled to feed the local Cows producing cheese made under the Chimay name, and recipes dating back over 200 years, Chimay beers are a fantastic representation of the long history of Belgian brewing.
