Carrick
All Carrick wines are made from estate-grown grapes harvested from 18 year old vines. Since 2008, the vineyard has been farmed organically and was in transition to organic certification until 2010. Since 2011, all wines are certified 100% organic through BioGroNZ. LISA PERROTTI-BROWN MW
The Carrick vineyards of Steve Green and Barbara Robertson were established in 1993, and with much of the plant material approaching two decades of maturity, the fruit is consistent in its quality. Viticulturist Blair Deaker brought the vineyards to full certified BioGro organic status and this process along with the increased detail and care has seen the wines show the benefit of conversion. Coming from Martinborough, Francis Hutt assisted in the viticulture and in the winery assuming full responsibility for the winemaking on the departure of Jane Docherty, and finished off the 2011 vintage wines, and making the 2012s from the ground up.
