Briar Ridge

Semillon and Shiraz have been the most consistent performers, underlying the suitability of these varieties to the Hunter Valley. Briar Ridge has been a model of stability, and has the comfort of substantial estate vineyards from which it is able to select the best grapes. It also has not hesitated to venture into other regions, notably Orange. In 2013 Gwyneth (Gwyn) Olsen was appointed winemaker after an impressive career in Australia and NZ.
