Azienda Agricola Ca' Viola

This is an absolutely stellar set of wines from Beppe Caviola. While so many of his colleagues seem content to make good but not outstanding wines, Caviola's Dolcettos and Barberas take their place among the very best examples readers will find. As always, Caviola's wines are built on fruit intensity and voluptuousness, although in recent years finesse has become more important than sheer power. ANTONIO GALLONI
