Australian's love to drink Fizz. We are one of the largest consumers of sparkling wine per capita outside of France, and arguably we produce the best sparkling wines outside of Champagne. The wines produced from mature vines on cooler sites in Tasmania, Victoria, and the Adelaide Hills offer texture and balance for a fraction of the cost of our northern hemisphere neighbours. To celebrate that fact and in the run-up to Australia Day, we have put together a fantastic 6-pack of wines that have really impressed us over the past 12 months- delicious fizz perfect for any occasion.
I have included some notes below on all of the wines. We have discounted the shelf price of $205 more than 20%, so at $165 the half-dozen is less than the cost a bottle of vintage Champagne!
