AUSSIE GRENACHE EXTRAVAGANZA SATURDAY TASTING

16th May 12 pm - 2pm

Australian Grenache has come a long way. Once used mainly for sweet styles, it’s now recognised internationally for quality and character. Old vines, favourable growing conditions and skilled winemaking have pushed it onto the world stage alongside respected regions such as the Rhône and Spain’s Garnachaproducing areas.

South Australia remains its heartland. The warm climates and distinct soils of the Barossa Valley, along with the sandy sites of McLaren Vale, give the variety an ideal environment to grow and develop complexity.

Other regions add their own identity. The Yarra Valley’s cooler conditions produce lighter, more aromatic expressions. Western Australia’s Great Southern region also contributes examples that show depth and precision.

Aussie Grenache Extravaganza brings these styles together. From the traditional to the finely detailed, the event highlights the range and quality of Grenache made across the country. On 16 May, explore some of Australia’s strongest interpretations of this classic grape.

The tasting is priced at $10, with the option to add a pour of the highly acclaimed Yangarra High Sands 2023 Grenache for an additional $5. This wine is widely regarded as one of Australia’s greatest examples of Grenache.

Our usual offer applies: spend over $100 per ticket and you’ll receive your $10 tasting fee back. Please note that the additional $5 for the High Sands pour is not refundable.
