MAGNUM SALE 20% DISCOUNT  - WILLIAM FEVRE CHABLIS PREMIER AND GRAND CRU

No other domaine comes even remotely close to matching what Fèvre owns and all of it in the original heart of the appellation - it's literally the best of the best, or perhaps the phrase crème de la crème is more appropriate! BURGHOUND

William Fèvre is one of Chablis’ greatest wine domaines, developed by the eponymous William Fèvre. JASPER MORRIS MW

As I wrote last year, fresh, tensile wines that are classical in style have been the watchword at the 78-hectare Domaine William Fèvre for more than a decade. WILLIAM KELLEY, The Wine Advocate

Pure, precise, elegant – but accessible – not a bit austere. I am rarely surprised by the consistent quality from this producer and, of course, there were many great wines. In particular, there is an elegance here that is much rarer at other addresses. BILL NANSON, Burgundy Report

The end result of ‘the Chablis difference’, for the drinker, is that there is a greater level of consistency within Chablis than elsewhere in Burgundy. Every level of Chablis offers fine-value terroir wine, mouthwatering and unique. ANDREW JEFFORD, Decanter Magazine

No need to beat around the bush with this one.

This offer is awesome in two major ways

Firstly, with the warmth comes parties and gatherings of all kinds. Not just Christmas and NYE but months of BBQs, family catch ups, lunches/dinners with mates, long sunny days and balmy nights where you need a great bottle of white to get through the evening. What is better than Chablis? Not much! What is better than a bottle of Chablis? That’s correct, a magnum of Chablis. Want to ramp up the standard of your wine offering this summer? Get big bottles of Chablis!

Secondly, we have access to a swag of back vintage William Fevre magnums, direct from the importers cellar. What could possibly be better than a magnum of Chablis at the party? A well aged, maturing and beautifully blossomed magnum of Chablis from one of the three top estates in the region. This offer is full of wines that are banging now, one of the joys of great Chablis is that they tend to drink well over their entire lives, but will evolve well over many years, especially out of large format.

Top that off with the 20% discount, its essentially an early Christmas gift from me to you. Though Michael and Alex may not be as thrilled with that discount as I am… and hopefully you are.

Seriously though, I think most of our customers would be aware of Fevre and aware of my thoughts on the domaine. I regard it the equal, yes, equal, top three producers in the region. The quality here is irreproachable. The prices remain sane. Their holdings are unparalleled in Chablis. They are among my favourite domaines on planet earth. There is a lot of reasons to dive in deep here.

As always with any Fevre offer, there is the special mentions.

So, Cote de Bouguerots. Located at the base of Bougros, the Cote de Bouguerots is on an incredibly steep incline with plenty of exposure and very shallow, poor, gravely soils sets it apart from the rest of Bougros and stamps an indelible imprint on the wines which is unmistakable and unique amongst the rest of Chablis Grand Cru. This lieu-dit is often one of the top Chablis produced in any year.

Preuses, which is harder to say, Bouguerots or Preuses? While the other Grand Cru lieux-dits are pretty well known by most Chablis nerds for some reason this guy is often overlooked. I have never understood that as it is top two, maybe three, climats for me. What this site delivers is power and density. It can be formidable in it’s youth. Often an imposing wine when young. In good vintages it can almost be too much of too many good things all at once. Again, don’t miss this wine.
